From the black-top basketball courts on the North Side of Pittsburgh to the crashing waves off the coast in Kona, Hawaii, my journey to triathlon started with an understanding of how hard work and determination pays off. I spent countless hours as a youngster perfecting my jump shot just the same now as I’m working tirelessly trying to be as efficient as possible in the three disciplines within triathlon.

Throughout my nine years training and racing, having the opportunity to meet the amazing people with the sport, and the knowledge passed down to me, I try and do my part in showing my passion for what this journey has to offer, on and off the race course.

With the continuing support of my amazing wife, Kristen, and racing for a cause bigger than a finish line in Ballou Skies, I planned a hectic tour of various races to help me book another trip to the Big Island in 2012.
